And so the 29th of October marks a special day for the woman who
gave birth to me...
A woman who sacrificed everything just to get me where I am today,
I dare to take the time and listen to her stories telling me about her mistakes
in life and how under privileged she was, hence she is going all out to give me
the best she never had.
Today I celebrate her life, I celebrate all the times she woke up
cold or not to go find a job just to make sure that we never went to bed with
empty stomachs, I celebrate her for always being there, from the day I NEEDED A
SHOULDER TO CRY ON TILL THE DAY I WAS ABLE TO WIPE MY OWN TEARS AWAY…
I celebrate her for all those phone calls she made checking up on
me, telling how much she loves me…
I must admit it was never easy being raised by a single parent but
she made it seem okay, knowing behind closed doors she prayed for a greater
strength to face each and every day with a smile on her face.
I take my graduation hat off for my Mother…
How she forgets about herself and focuses on her patients is so
heart-warming, she was really called to be a nurse.
I dare not to forget to listen to the stories of: how patients in
her ward always shower her with apples, cool drinks and all sorts of
appreciation gifts for taking good care of them…
I cannot miss the opportunity to wish my super woman a happy
birthday and thank her for being my role model, today I am able to talk to
other women and empower them because I saw her go through such tough ordeals.
I say celebrate yourself WOMAN, I say take pride in yourself from
13 years old to the oldest, enjoy this life, because no one is going to live it
for you, It is said that life begins at 40? Is it true?
I believe you can be 40 and your life can still be the same, so
live every day of your life as if it’s the last, you can’t wait to turn 40 then
u begin your life, MAKE AN IMPACT NOW!!!
Leave your footprints engraved on the ground, wear your clothes
the best way you can, achieve as many goals as you can, CELEBRATE YOURSELF
WOMAN!!!
