Am opening up a discussion for you ladies Make up? Or Make
down? There are both sides of the story, the good and the bad! Lets talk about
it…
Starting with the BAD
Encouraging women who don’t believe to be beautiful is what I
like doing the most, because I know exactly how it feels being discriminated on,
being told over and over that I am not beautiful especially with the scar that I have on my
face, ending with me believing that! Hearing
such words on a constant basis caused me to lack a lot of confidence…
But now that I have
the opportunity to talk to other girls/ladies
about beauty I might as well go all out.
I have grown to notice that dark skinned women apply a lot
of make up, having no idea why? Maybe it makes them feel more confident or it
at least gives the impression that I can also be beautiful… let me tell you something there are people like me who have marks on their faces but still feel
confident in themselves ,why would you being a dark beauty want to apply make
up to look beautiful?
An African woman’s
skin is the sun’s shadow, an African
woman’s skin tells others about her
inner beauty, the texture signifies oneness with yourself and the world.
It signifies
completeness and self actualization, why cover all that up my dear?
The raw oils, the lines on your face were Purposely made…
I walk past you wearing this mask that makes the outside of
you feel confident but leaving the inside of you crying without identity,
longing to be real, hear me well Am not saying you are not real BUT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
WITHOUT MAKE UP, MAKE IT DOWN!,
If you put it on; don’t let it take over you, don’t let it
get to a point where when you don’t have it on you feel naked that is a no no!
Control the make up don’t let it control you! Remember YOU
ARE A WOMAN YOU radiate beauty, it is in you let it out! Shine like the diamond
that you are- Rihanna did not make a mistake by singing that SONG I dedicate it to every woman out there, you are
beautiful like diamonds in the sky.
However there is another reason why ladies MAKE UP…
I was talking to a friend of mine ASITHANDILE MASHALABA asking
her what was her opinion: MAKE UP or MAKE DOWN? “MAKE UP! BECAUSE IT GIVES ME A CONFIDENCE BOOST”-she said
I agreed with her because some of the ladies have been
natural all their lives, some just don’t have the confidence to go with their
natural skin or some have a problem with their skin like “eczema” and so
putting make up is the only way to cover up all of that and it boosts their
confidence.
Highly understood and truthful. —JUST A LITTLE bit OF MAKE UP GOES A LONG WAY IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE
BEAUTIFUL BEFORE PUTTING IT ON-Lihle Dlova
What is your opinion? MAKE UP OR MAKE DOWN? Lets talk about
this…

I think making up for a confidence boost is a little like putting a plaster on an amputation... Okay I'm exaggerating quite a bit. I suppose it depends on how much you put on and for what reason or situation. I actually commented on the last article about this very topic
